Anyone who says they stand no chance...doesn't. That kind of attitude will never encourage you to win. Cheesy

lol, here's my entry - i somehow doubt it needs a story.

hehe and i only started it monday Tongue so don't say yours sux dude  Cool
title?  didn't really think of one... but let's just say "it's a good way to blow off steam", depending on who you are of course
and mine includes a readme and a license and a disclaimer
not to mention my sfx work under windows xp
and mine has 2 different "skins" so to speak - and all sprites are easily editable by the user if they desire, the code was designed with custom dimensions in mind so it'll automatically adjust to them Smiley
Download space invaders - dumbledore.zip
hehe if i even come close to winning it'll be due to comic content only
screenshots:

have fun ;P

umm just so you know, the "bugfix" release is just the exe file, you'll still need to zip for all the data.

To everyone competing: you can either post a link to your file or email it to me or Pete (I think I have a bigger inbox though...heh). And it's still the 15th here in the USA (hell, it's 8 in the morning!), so that's all that matters! Cheesy

FYI: Anarky uploaded his entry to my website this morning.  I don' t know if he was planning on posting about it here, but I thought I'd spread the good word.

You can check it out here:

Space Invaders (Original Taito Clone) - by anarky

http://www.petesqbsite.com/downloads/invader1.zip

Description: "Remember the old arcade games you could put 20c in and play til you dropped? Think waaaaay back to those days. Space Invaders is a staple part of a programmer's life. Here I have for you the original clone. Nothing better than this. If there is, it's a rip-off or re-vamp. Don't want to know about it. I suggest downloading this. It's tiny, and worth the look. "

Okay, it looks like there's four official entries: TheDarkJay, Lachie, dumbledore, and anarky. If there are no stragglers (there shouldn't be), I'll set up the voting thread within a few hours (got IRL stuff to take care of first).

Errr....did anyone liked the humor in my entry?

I'm trying to convince myself that I'm not completely worthless when it comes to being funny.
