WWW
German freebasic website
« on: January 14, 2005, 05:05:32 AM »

Hi folks,

I made a begin for a german freebasic website. I like what you all do and i wish freebasic will have a positive future. Thanks to v1ctor and all other developers and all the people who support the freebasic in any way.

I am not native english (but german) and I am a beginner. Many years ago I tried some programming on Atari 520ST with GFA-Basic.

As I have really problems to understand and learn things in english only I decided to make a german website. While making it I saw that freebasic.de is starting with a nice design but no content. So we will see, how insofar a second website will make sense. As I am not on an Ego-trip I would not mind to give my contents to freebasic.de (if I will have some) and to close that place or link it to there. Let's see what will happen first.

The website is http://freebasic.feeleasy.net It doesn't have a pure freebasic domainname now, we will see, if it will be worth to have one. I don't mind paying for a domain. The website is realized useing phpcms, a content management system. Afaik it's easy to integrate a wiki, a forum could be linked from the main menu, I did such before. Any ideas to make it more useful are welcome.

I would like to invite people who prefer german language to help making the site a good place. As I myself am a bloody beginner (I always was) my interests are to help myself and so other beginners. If cracks want to help, we could have contens for cracks too, but my skills are poor.

But I am ready to support freebasic (in my own interest) and wanted to tell you what I do.

Thanks again to all people who help to make freebasic a good thing for us all.

If something sounds funny here to native english people, please keep in mind, it's not my language. Any help and cutups are highly appreciated.

Have a good time

Welcome mate and hope the site goes well, although owing to the fact I don't speak german I prolly won't be a regular - unless you can make an english version?

Thank you,

but you overstate, it's just some links an a begin of a description. Next I want to translate some texts of your website assuming that is ok to you. I just started that today. But as I have nearly no clue of programming I dont understand some things myself.
Hope I get some help. I know that some good german basic freaks are interested in freebasic.
btw, all the website was done in few hours...and as its a CMS the adding of content can be very easy.

WWW
Added manual and forum to the german (unofficial) Website
« Reply #5 on: January 19, 2005, 12:13:05 PM »

Added the manual made by Nexinarus, muchas gracias, its quite big...

Started the german translation but upload all done work, so its in a way a bit bilingual....
Help is appreciated. Just go there, translate what is not and send it to me by mail or paste it to the forum there. I'll add it asap.

Also added a forum there for people who don't speak english (or not so good),
that is surely pretty empty now....but at least I am there, you won't be lonely...

Hi Bastian,
I know and have a link to his page. Beautiful design. Up to now nearly no content, but such can change quickly.
