Hey nice, long time since i've seen anyone do anything with µGL.
A tip though. Add 320x200x8 with only one page. That sets mode 13h. And then use your own palette and uglBMPLoadEx so that it doesn't convert the colors.

thanks guys... i guess i enjoy making the engines a lot more than making the content for sure...  i have a base engine for zg2, but i havent touched it in a while, mostly because ive hit a creative block

That's asking a lot of work, so you don't have to play it 8-bit.  Port it to freebasic, instead Cheesy

That is cool. Hey, I am trying to learn 3d. Would you by chance be able to share the source for that :lol: . I want to learn, and example is the best way to do so.

Another impressive looking engine that uses EMS and has no alternative. Messing with the EMS/XMS in the memory tab doesn't work all the time, especially with XP Pro. Besides, if you ever do make a game, not many people will be able to get it to work. I tried DosBox and it still doesn't work. DosBox sucks anyways. You need an alternative, even if you have to put limits for the alternative(memory, speed, etc), so more people can see it.

A sad fact is that most of games that use EMS can fit into 640kb, and all the libs out there force you to use EMS/XMS. Does UGL support conventional memory?
