Quickhost items only remain for 7 days, unless they get a lot of hits.

Someone should host the examples somewhere, so they are "static" and dont go away after a period of time Tongue

I've uploaded the ones I had(think I'm missing one).

A qbnews forum user uploader has been worked on(to improve the old one) and should be ready within a day or so(free time willing).

Very good.  Cheesy !  Glad to hear it, my man!

Also, I want to tell you in advance here that I too am getting the FB graphics demos together and learning from your real fine example, as an encouragement to me of sorts, you know what I am saying?  Wink

Of real special note regarding this successful-becoming project, I am *very* seriously gonna launch the first-ever FB demoscene-based zone, and it is simply called FreeBasic GFX Demo Central, and it is gonna be my rather newest and most important feature on the AAP Official Projects Squad.  :cool:

Watch for it beginning on the VERY next update of my site starting tonight or tomorrow, and be seeing you.  :king:=b !

Yet another one: SDL + OpenGL + BASS: http://freebasic.bad-logic.com/downloads/sdlbasstest.rar

That shows how the compiler can now handle an infinite number of symbols as every internal table is now redimensioned when needed.

The compilation time at the asm file shows how compiler is faster now (being a 32-bit app), it took less than 1 sec on my 1.8ghz box to compile that test with all those include files - it used to take 3 times more with the 16-bit, vbdos-compiled version..


Btw, you need the BASS and SDL libs installed in your system to run that test, copy the DLL's to the system32 dir and forget about them..

Blobs could be optmized a lot by using intermediate UBYTE buffers but I didn't. Why? Cause FB is soooo darn fast!!!!

The guys from microsoft should learn from you.  The Freebasic compiled freebasic has like 30kb less size. :*)

v3c: Its really pain to implement pointers using the delphi notation.  Please use the C notation.
