Cheesy Hi. I am shelling to a C++ program from QB, and would like to return variables back to the QB program. I could have the C++ program write the info to a file, but it would be nicer if variables could be passed back. Is there a Windows API that would work with QB?

Thanks.....

When QB was released, latest windows version was 2.1, so... No, there's no Windows API usable by ANY MSDOS program.

Use the file. You can also use the clipboard, though I am not very sure how.

Copy to clipboard sounds interesting. I know ho to do that in Visual Basic - I will investigate with QuickBasic.

Thanks for the super prompt responses......
