It's normal because MSN give you only 3 mb when you create your group and i used these 3 mb with my other groups.

Regardless of whether that's a "normal " MSN practice, It is against the terms and conditions of my site, and will be for the other sites you've hotlinked to. If you wish to set up a good QBasic site, you must accept the price and pay for more space, rather than stealing from others.

I checked your server for the standard port that cpanel uses and it's not open, so chances are you don't have cpanel. That being said, your only option (if you also don't have something like Plesk) would be shell access + modify your server with an access list. It's hard to do but it can be done. Cheesy

aweb, don't be a lamer. Fork out some cash and buy some webspace. You don't even wanna know how much I pay a month for mine...

I'm on Plan B. Not bad for its price, and it's all I need. And I got my domain name from Godaddy.com, the regular price.

I'm looking around for code I can use though... I don't trust these "small sites with big d/l sections"...

You just have to add a referer check to your load.php page, and then locate as you already do, or print error msg. You can also just lead them to your page    .

Edit: Ooops. Forgot to say this: You'll have to store your files in the DB, that way it's more secure, too.

I have better bandwidth. I don't know what kind of server they're using, but whatever it is, it's fast.
And which plan are you on in the hosting?
You have a lot better space than me, though. :normal:

Oh. I thought that you got your hosting from there. *Whimpers and runs away*
I might switch to that hosting if I decide that I don't need the extra bandwidth that I get with my hosting. I mean, the space you give is incredible.
Would I get a discount? Just kidding.

As i said before, we also make custom plans, which may or may not be cheaper than the plans we offer now, depending on what you want. Smiley

OK, ok, I've read all your messages and I think you are right.
I should not take your links.

It will have a major change in QBASIC GROUP :

I will use one of my website's FTP server to store files I'll use.

BUT IT WILL TAKE ABOUT A MONTH OF TIME, SO BE PATIENT

I will resolve this problem,

I still recommend you do not hotlink from muratelic - download QB45 for yourself and put it up immediately, that won't take long.

This sounds like one of those pint-baked schemes that just won't happen, because people aren't taking the proper precautions (kinda like how QBC started), and they aren't doing things right. Sorry for the negativity, but that's just how I view it. This should be organized more.

Of course I haven't seen it with my own eyes yet, so I can't make a final judgement. I've just read the posts from others, and I'm not liking what I see...
