RAR and ZIP compress files just fine. Not to mention, you only wanna compress files when transporting them. If you are reading from compressed files, you have to uncompress them, which makes your programs bigger and bloateder.

No, the program get's bigger, you...
Anyway, he's right. For the mini programs we're making, there's no reason to compress it. It doesn't really matter if it's 2 or 3 mb when uncompressed, as long as the -download- is small. And hurray for rar there.

According to a popular series of books called "the hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy" that number is the universal answer to everything.

Ah... one of those uber-popular books that I sadly haven't read... I've heard so much about it too... I think I actually have one on my bookshelf... *looks at books*

My best guess would to be append it and read from your own exe file after a certain point (you'd have to store it in a variable and change it after you compile it and check), but i have no earthly clue how not to get dos to read it as instructions

Yes. Somebody understand me...
that's cool. How do can I  do?

Why the hell not use DATA? After all, isn't that EXACTLY what it's meant for?

Okay, attach 2 .WAV files and a 320x200 bitmap to your program using DATA and continue.

x-bit:  I'll see into how you do it later.

Because Appending the DATA to the exe after you compile it saves you memory as they would work like external files.

Try the CodePost as there is something like that in there. ;*)
