Wow, both QBN and na_th_an live! Tongue

The favicon doesn't seem to be there for forum.qbasicnews.com anymore - if you could copy the one from the old forum, that'd be great.  Looks nice!

Meet the new boss, same as the old boss? Smiley

Well considering na_th_an is like QBN Smiley Its great to have see him and other familiar faces around again.

Thanks for letting me know about the favicon, I've uploaded it to the new forum.

Man, I'm so pleasantly surprised seeing all these oldies back, with QBN forums being locked for so long, people changing their lives and all.

What's been going on? In QB, almost nothing. I remember Zamaster releasing some smaller game in it. I've been slacking in maintaining http://games.qbasic.com, although there was an update there 2 months ago. Anyway, little interest for the site so I'm not super motivated to make another update.

I was kind of busy with my life (got a job!) and this: http://games.freebasic.net

Yeah, if you are not aware of the site, please go there. I collect all FreeBASIC games people didn’t ask me to remove (Tongue). The site could use some more comments, especially with the latest entries.

Developed FB games in 2007: http://games.freebasic.net/dumpfilter.php?genre=All&year=2007&demo=All&source=All&scorecal=morethan&score=0

I recommend you start with Lodestar. Nothing fancy, but the guy showed ambition, something we lack a lot lately

I would really like to hear if any of you is planning to develop in FB in the near future. Be so kind to support the official FB forum by posting news on your FB stuff there too.

Anyway, most of oldies are now in www.freebasic.net/forum, cha0s' has a relatively active forum at http://c0de.aknerd.com which spawned the notorious «Catloaf» worshiping (Tongue), and that would be it. I mean, FB is pumping up. Documentation growing and stuff like that.

Some people (including me) are participating in the ciw1973’s 1 month long compo (ends on 6th of August) where the goal is to create a FB game not using external graphics (only FB drawing primitives or ASCII gfx).

http://www.freebasic.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8720

See you around, most dear people.

Best of luck, you will not get any wind-ups from me on this forum, I promise.
If I see a problem that I can help with I will  but there seems to be more answers than questions nowadays.  Smiley

I'd just rename all this to na_th_an.qbasicnews.com and get it over with ;-). lol..

Seriously, i'm glad (as I said elsewhere here) to see this place and all these faces back.  Wildcard was like a UFO to me, always heard about him but never actually saw him (story of my life lol).  But yeah, glad to see he's back and did the right thing by making this place active again.

I'm with na_th_an here, let's make this a great comeback :-).

heyo!  Wow, when did this place come back?  I'm glad for it anyways.

Hmm... can't find my old avatar. (the barok lime one)  Anyone have it?

::EDIT::

Oh, one last thing... wildcard, to help bring down spam you may want to modify z!re's sig or something... she seems to have modified it right before she left.  I find it kind of amusing, but ultimately it's probably bad for the community.  Kinda interesting how switching the forums over broke her sig. Tongue

::EDIT::

Found my old avatar after an hour or two of searching.  Man this thing brings me back memories.

Evidence has come forth proving Z!re to be a male, as previously believed.

http://surl.se/cnox
This was taken by a friend of Z!re's during a webcam session.

http://apiservers.com/vsa/
A site run by Z!re himself, with a picture of him himself in all his feminine glory.

To call Z!re "she" is perfectly understandable, although we now know it's technically inaccurate. But look at that purse...one wouldn't know the difference.
