Post by: ComDriver on April 10, 2005, 12:13:26 PM
I was wandering if I could play .wav files in FreeBasic becuase I have already tryed a few Qbasic .wav players but they don't work in FB, any ideas?

And is there a MP3 player because I remembered reading about one a while back.

You can use FMOD through FreeBASIC to play WAVs quite easily. I wrote a tutorial on using FMOD a while ago: http://forum.qbasicnews.com/viewtopic.php?t=8406

Scroll down to the section "Loading and Playing Samples".

I can't get it to work as it says cannot find fmod.dll, infact it does that for all the libraries which I try to use is this because I'm using the FBide?

Nope, it's because FB doesn't come with those files (like fmod.dll) - you have to download them separately.
